This happen a year ago, the fist time i see
this picture was in 9gag.com but I really didn’t understand why they were
making fun of it until later I read why. The thing was that a woman called Cecilia
Giménez Zueco repainted El Ecce Homo a fresco (mural painting) by Spanish painter Elías García Martínez depicting Jesus crowned with thorns.
Well to make thinks short this is how the fresco use to look like then and now:
Personally I can’t understand how she
got from one point to another but as a result of what she did the painting got
famous all over the internet and she as well. Additionally to all this, what do
you think? Does she really mess up this painting or she improved?
Definitely she messed up with the painting. Even though it was so damaged, it was and original art piece which had been there for so many years; of course this woman’s intentions were good, and she never imagined how infamous she would become all around the world. What I last read was that she was so ashamed and so stalked by the press and common people that she was having a really bad time; she even got sick and she couldn’t even go out from home.

ResponderEliminarDefinitely she messed up with the painting, but I think that really was the fault of those who allowed him repaint the picture knowing it was a famous piece of art without knowing if It was doing by a professional or not.
